Pediatric Compounding

When it comes to children and taking medications, parents and pediatricians face many challenges. Children may resist taking their medication because they dislike the taste, smell, or tecture. They may also have a fearful aversion to injections or have a hard time swallowing manufactured dosage forms. Since many adult medications are not in appropriate dosage forms for children, Gloyer's Pharmacy can compound your child’s medication into a form they can take. Our compounding specialist can make a variety of dosage forms including: capsules, suspensions, gels, creams, ointments, suppositories, and troches. As we all know, many medications simply do not taste very good. With your doctor’s permission, our compounding specialists can also add flavoring to your child’s prescription to “help the medicine go down.”
